The Global Solar UV index (UVI) is a measure of the intensity of UV radiation on the Earth’s surface that is relevant to effects on the human skin. The values of the index range from zero upward – the higher the index value, the greater the potential for damage to the skin and eye, and the less time it takes for harm to occur. MACC provides 4-day global forecasts of UVI. For more information see the WHO information pages about ultraviolet radiation. Latest Forecast
