MACC also provides retrospective analysis (reanalysis) products for global greenhouse gases, reactive gases and aerosols for the period from 2003 onwards.

MACC continued the GEMS reanalysis, which originally covered 2003-2007, up to April 2009. Results are provided in map and data formats.

MACC is now using an updated configuration of the analysis system, building on developments in the latter part of GEMS and early part of MACC, to produce a new reanalysis for the period 2003-2010.
